# The City of Tshwane says it will continue to seek and strengthen partnerships with responsible corporate players in the metro to address challenges faced by residents. The challenges include a massive housing backlog and infrastructure decay. Mayoral committee member for Housing and Human Settlements, Aaron Maluleka, says on Tuesday, eight new houses were handed over to beneficiaries in Zithobeni Heights, built by the Pales Coal Mine as part of the Community Upliftment programme:
