# The City of Tshwane is urging developers and property owners to comply with the prescripts of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act. Due to its financial troubles, the metro has limited resources to deal with illegal property developments in the municipality. Mayoral committee member for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, says illegal developments undermine the investments of compliant property owners:
