# The City of Tshwane has launched an initiative prioritising senior citizens at public clinics. The programme is aimed at ensuring they no longer have to wait in long queues for healthcare services. Mayoral committee member for Health, Tshegofatso Mashabela, has emphasised the metro’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of elderly residents, particularly in managing chronic conditions. She says the programme forms part of efforts to provide senior citizens with dignified, efficient care for their lifetime of contributions to families and communities.
