# The City of Tshwane is encouraging indigent customers and child-headed households to apply for a 100-percent total municipal debt write-off. This is part of the metro’s special debt relief incentive programme. Deputy mayor, Eugene Modise, says customers are still responsible for paying for any consumption that exceeds the allocated subsidy of 100-kilowatts of electricity and 12-kiloliters of water:
