Tshwane relocates informal settlement households to serviced stands

# The City of Tshwane has begun relocating qualifying households from several informal settlements to serviced stands at Leeufontein Extension 32. The programme started in the Tsunami Informal Settlement, where 162 beneficiaries are being moved. Additional relocations will take place on Monday from settlements including Nkandla, Mavuso, Willow Farm, Mamelodi Extension 11, Youth View and Soul City. A further 23 households from the National Housing Needs Register will also be allocated stands. The city says the initiative will improve living conditions and promote orderly human settlement development.
