# The Tshwane Metro Police Department says it continues to intensify visible policing operations to enforce compliance with traffic laws across all roads in the metro. On Sunday and Monday, the TMPD Freeway and Pedestrian Unit arrested 17 pedestrians for unlawfully entering and crossing the N1 freeway at Stormvoel. TMPD’s spokesperson, Puleng Motholo, says such actions pose a significant risk, not only to individuals involved but also to motorists:
