# The City of Tshwane has approved a proposal mandating all its construction projects to utilise the metro’s internal professional services. The metro says that until now, some departments have contracted services like architectural professionals, quantity surveyors, and building works inspectors externally. It says this has resulted in high consultant costs for Tshwane, often leading to inconsistent quality and misalignment with city-wide standards. The metro adds that the insourcing has already saved 16.6-million-rand in recent projects.
