# Tshwane has emerged as Gauteng’s top-performing metro in residential property price growth. According to data collected by Ooba Home Loans, the metro recorded a 10.6-percent annual increase in January and February 2025. This outpaced both Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal. Notably, by late 2024, only Tshwane and Cape Town saw house price growth exceeding the inflation rate, highlighting their robust market performance. Despite this surge, the Western Cape maintains the highest average purchase price at 2.36-million-rand, growing 3.9-percent year-on-year.
