# The Tshwane Emergency Service is encouraging residents to participate in community fire awareness campaigns. The South African Weather Service is monitoring two cold frontal systems that are expected to bring cold and wet conditions to parts of the country. Emergency Service’s spokesperson, Tebogo Maake, says many residents use paraffin and gas heaters, electric blankets and open flames to stay warm in cold conditions:
