# The City of Tshwane’s Section 79 Municipal Public Accounts Committee is demanding a report from the Metro Police Department. This is over allegations of corruption at the TMPD’s Pounding Depot in Region 3 in the CBD. Committee chairperson Godwin Ratikwane says the allegations are that TMPD officers are not recording impounded vehicles, with owners paying officers directly, as opposed to paying at the metro’s designated pay point. He says they will be conducting further oversight visits to mitigate corruption within the TMPD.
