Tshwane declares war on potholes amid backlogs caused by persistent heavy rainfall [SOUND]

# The City of Tshwane says continuous rainfall has led to an increase in the number of potholes on the roads, which has led to a massive backlog adding to previously existing ones. This has also resulted in delays in the implementation of the repair and patching of potholes in all parts of the seven regions. The metro’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says since assuming office, this administration has, to date, repaired 687 potholes, and achieved a 99-percent reduction from a registered backlog of 692:
