# The City of Tshwane Section 79 Community and Social Development committee chairperson, Rebecca Monchusi, is calling on communities to demand action and accountability for leaders to prevent gender-based violence. This followed the murder of Kgaogelo Marora by her alleged ex-boyfriend despite having a protection order against him. Monchusi says the committee has written to the metro’s Community and Social Development Services Department, urging them to utilise the Rapid Regional Task Team on GBV to drive awareness and education.
