Tshwane city manager welcomes progress in the R7-million transformer theft case [SOUND]

# Tshwane city manager Johann Mettler has welcomed the positive progress in the seven-million-rand transformer theft case. Three officials are facing charges of theft of essential infrastructure in connection with a transformer stolen from the Claudius Substation in Laudium in November last year. They are out on bail. Another suspect, believed to be the buyer of the transformer, will face a bail hearing tomorrow. The metro’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says the three employees are also facing internal disciplinary processes:
