# The City of Tshwane has welcomed two recently released reports that have recognised the metro as the safest in the country and the leading housing market in Gauteng. According to the South African Cities Network, residents expressed that they felt safest in Tshwane than they did in other cities. The mayor’s spokesperson, Zintle Mahlati, says the housing market barometer released by Ooba Home Loans, shows that between January and February 2025, the metro recorded the highest annual house price growth in Gauteng at 10.6-percent:
