# The City of Tshwane has celebrated its latest group of newly qualified artisans and officially opened the upgraded 18-million-rand Plumbing Workshop at the Tshwane Leadership and Management Academy in Pretoria West. The graduation marked the successful completion of a rigorous three-year trade programme, which included the recognition of permanent municipal employees who upskilled through the initiative. Mayoral committee member for Corporate and Shared Services, Flora Monama, says this investment doubles the plumbing apprentice intake from 15 to 30 per year, strengthening internal capacity.
