Tshwane calls on businesses to ensure compliance with labour and immigration laws [SOUND]

# The City of Tshwane is calling on all businesses operating within the metro to ensure full compliance with South Africa’s labour and immigration laws. The metro and the Department of Employment and Labour have agreed to strengthen cooperation to protect jobs and promote compliance with labour legislation. Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya’s spokesperson, Samkelo Mgobozi, says employers have been urged to verify that all employees are either South African citizens or foreign nationals who hold valid permits authorising them to work in the country:
