The metro’s debt book stands at 32.24-billion-rand across 814-thousand-407 accounts. Of these, 210-thousand-346 accounts collectively owe 33.88-billion-rand in arrears. The metro says its underlying revenue base remains strong as April cash receipts of 3.54-billion-rand exceeded the forecast target by 140-million-rand.
