# U.S. President Donald Trump and mediator Pakistan said yesterday an initial deal to end the war in the Middle East would be signed today, although Iran denied it would take place so soon. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the two sides had agreed on a framework for a peace deal and Islamabad was preparing for signing today, to be followed by technical-level talks next week. The proposed deal calls for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the U.S. naval blockade. Reportedly, negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program would take place afterwards.
