# Tourism minister Patricia de Lille has welcomed the appointment of the new South African Tourism Board, citing it will provide the leadership needed to drive growth and renew the sector. The eleven-member board brings expertise in tourism, governance, finance, digital innovation and investment, and will serve for three years. Ministry spokesperson Aldrin Sampear says the board will help attract more visitors and investment, create jobs and support sustainable economic growth:
