# The Tshwane Metro Police Department has expressed concern about the recent arrests of pedestrians found on the highways across the metro. Over 30 pedestrians were arrested this past week on the N1 and N4, amid a dangerous trend of individuals crossing highways or hitchhiking along the busy roads. TMPD spokesperson Puleng Motholo says these actions pose a significant risk not only to the pedestrians themselves but also to motorists who may not be able to react in time to avoid a potential accident:
