Tennis: Saudi Arabia to host new ATP Masters 1000 tournament from 2028

# Tennis: Saudi Arabia will host a new ATP Masters One-thousand tournament from 2028, expanding the elite tennis calendar for the first time since 1990. The week-long, 56-player event will likely take place in February, adding to the kingdom’s growing sports portfolio. The Gulf nation already hosts the WTA Finals and Next Gen ATP Finals through its Public Investment Fund partnership. ATP chairperson Andrea Gaudenzi says the event will not be mandatory for players, acknowledging ongoing concerns about the packed tennis schedule.
