# The South African Civil Aviation Authority has launched an investigation into the cause of a light aircraft crash, which claimed the life of a pilot in Pretoria East. The Slick 540 aircraft departed from the Kitty Hawk Airfield before crashing less than 5-kilometre from the airfield. Saaca spokesperson Sisa Majola says the Accident and Incident Investigations Division collected evidence that will form part of a preliminary report that will be published on its website in 30 days.
