# Trade union Solidarity says many Mangaung Correctional Centre employees in the Free State who reported for duty on 1 July are still waiting for their employment to be recognised, as well as regular pay and benefits. The union has approached the Labour Court in an urgent application against the Department of Correctional Services. Solidarity’s Theunis van Staden says they are seeking the implementation of an existing court order on the workers’ employment status.
