# The advocacy movement Soil of Africa has condemned the City of Tshwane’s ongoing failure to provide basic water services to informal settlements and pay local service providers. The movement has written to the mayoral committee member for Human Settlements, Aaron Maluleka. Chairperson, Bongani Ramontja, says they are questioning how the metro plans to relocate over five-thousand-200 residents of Mamelodi and one-thousand residents of Hammanskraal, while it fails to provide water to thousands already living in informal settlements:
