SIU probe targets missing R41-million in Theewaterskloof Municipality

# The Special Investigating Unit is set to probe the Theewaterskloof Municipality after 41-million-rand in disaster relief funds remain unaccounted for nearly two years after Western Cape floods. The funds, meant for flood recovery projects, were reportedly redirected for other uses. Mayor Lincoln de Bruyn confirmed the misallocation, attributing it to previous financial challenges. The provincial government is demanding answers as the municipality faces allegations of gross financial mismanagement.
