# Gauteng provincial police commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni says the police family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit maintains a comprehensive approach to address sexual offenses, from enforcement to education and community engagement. He says sexual offences cases were reduced by 2.1-percent in the province between January and March this year. Mthombeni says they have arrested one-thousand-112 sexual offenders and presented one-thousand-356 cases in court:
