# Tshwane police arrested 319 suspects for various criminal offences during Operation Shanela in Atteridgeville over the weekend. The operation is part of the police’s zero-tolerance approach to crime. The arrests included 65 for gender-based violence, three for murder, six for armed robbery, one for perjury, three for possessing unlicensed firearms, and six for rape.
