# Precautionary measures have been put in place in the Garden Route National Park in the Western Cape. This follows an orange level eight warning from the South African Weather Service. South African National Parks spokesperson JP Louw says all hiking and water-based activities have been suspended in areas including Tsitsikamma, Wilderness, Knysna and Harkerville due to risks such as strong winds, unstable trees and saturated ground:
