# The teachers’ Union, SADTU, has condemned the bullying and assault of a learner living with albinism at Phutlotau Secondary School in Sekhukhune, Limpopo. Videos circulating online show learners taunting and beating the learner. SADTU’s Nomusa Cembi has called on the Department of Basic Education to investigate the incident and establish whether teachers did enough to protect the learner. Cembi says schools must be safe places where all learners are treated with respect and discrimination is not tolerated.
