# The South African Communist Party has condemned the killing of ANC councillor in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Sicelo Mleve. He was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen during a community meeting at a ward office in Zwide, Gqeberha, on Saturday evening. The SACP says this is not a random act of violence but is part and parcel of the prevalent political violence in the Eastern Cape. It has reiterated its call for a systematic response to the deepening crisis of political violence across the country.
