SA launches literacy drive targeting one million adults

# The Department of Higher Education and Training has launched a Literacy for Empowerment Campaign aimed at tackling functional illiteracy affecting about 3.8-million adults in South Africa. The initiative, in partnership with Old Mutual and other stakeholders, will focus on reading, writing, as well as digital, financial, and workplace literacy.
