Rugby: South African teams made a clean sweep in the opening round of the United Rugby Championship. The Lions edged defending champions Leinster 27-26 at Ellis Park, with Erich Cronjé scoring two of their three tries. The Sharks beat the Ospreys 41-24 in Durban, scoring five tries, including two from Luan Giliomee. The Bulls completed the clean sweep last night with a 47-13 victory over Zebre Parma in Italy, scoring seven tries. On Friday the Stormers beat Connacht in Galway 29-15.
