# Road running: The Comrades Marathon Association has officially launched the 2026 ultramarathon, set for 14 June between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Unveiled at Comrades House, the event introduced its Setswana slogan “Ska Fela Moya”, meaning “Don’t Give Up.” The launch honoured the late Cheryl Winn, a former winner and Comrades administrator. Entries open on 27 October for green number runners and 3 November for others, with entries closing on 26 November capped at 22-thousand. The 2026 up run marks the race’s 99th edition, celebrating endurance, heritage, and South African resilience.
