Residents of Diepsloot are demanding a public hospital [SOUND]

# Due to deadly delays in receiving emergency care, residents of Diepsloot in Gauteng are urging the government to construct a public hospital. According to reports, many patients reportedly die while waiting for ambulances, as the nearest hospitals are located far from the densely populated township. Speaking to the SABC, Diepsloot resident, Kedibone Sibiya, said she has been waiting nearly ten years for reconstructive plastic surgery, after suffering burns in 2017:
