# Public Interest South Africa has condemned reports that the Government Pensions Administration Agency allegedly hired a forensic firm to unmask whistleblowers exposing corruption. The agency manages pensions for 1.7-million employees and retirees. The agency CEO Kedibone Madiehe has since been suspended over procurement misconduct allegations. Public Interest SA chairperson Tebogo Khaas told SABC News that targeting whistleblowers is unethical, unnecessary, and highlights legislative gaps in protecting them:
