# The Public Servants Association condemns the North West parks and tourism board over a 300-percent rent hike for staff at Taung and Mafikeng hotel schools. The union states staff have been told their rent will jump from one-thousand-300-rand to six-thousand-800-rand a month from next month, along with salary deductions for electricity, without consultation. The association’s Nceba Baardman says this is unlawful, exploitative, and a breach of lease agreements:
