PSA says Treasury’s proposal for unclaimed retirement funds must be scrutinised [SOUND]

# The Public Servants Association has expressed concern about a proposal by National Treasury to centralise the management and investment of unclaimed financial assets, including billions of rands in unclaimed retirement benefits. Treasury has proposed a framework to centralise the management of unclaimed financial assets, estimated at more than 88-billion-rand, with the reform initially focusing on unclaimed retirement benefits. PSA’s Claude Naicker says this proposal requires far more public scrutiny before any decision is made:
