# The Public Servants Association says that despite their profound impact, educators, particularly in rural and marginalised communities, are left to navigate crumbling infrastructure, inadequate resources, and a lack of recognition. There are approximately 405-thousand educators currently in the country’s education system. PSA’s Claude Naicker says educators must be equipped not only to deliver the curriculum, but also to respond to trauma, inequality, and the demands of a rapidly evolving digital world:
