PSA calls on Joburg to engage in meaningful public consultation before implementing any tariff increases [SOUND]

# The Public Servants Association has expressed concern at reports that the City of Johannesburg is considering a 66-percent increase in water tariffs. Currently, users with conventional meters or prepaid ones are paying 65-rand as a base charge to connect to the water infrastructure. The metro’s proposal would increase the levy to 107-rand-74-cents per household, per month.
