PSA calls for a probe into the salary hikes of National Library of SA executives [SOUND]

# The Public Servants Association is calling for an urgent and widened Public Protector investigation into reported executive salary increases at the National Library of South Africa. This follows allegations that senior remuneration adjustments and related governance processes may not have met the standards expected of a public institution. According to reports, the CEO’s salary alone allegedly increased from approximately 1.8-million-rand to 2.6-million-rand per annum. PSA’s Claude Naicker says employees, on the other hand, received an increase of only three-percent:
