PSA calling for transparency in the integration of police officers into Border Management Authority [SOUND]

# The Public Servants Association says the integration of the South African Police Service Border Unit personnel into the Border Management Authority needs thorough scrutiny and due diligence. The association says the BMA is grappling with a severe budget shortfall of 4.35-billion-rand and understaffing. PSA’s Claude Naiker says transferring the four-thousand-354 police officers who are currently assigned to border protection duties would still leave the BMA with four-thousand-195 vacancies:
