# The Gauteng Education Department says the investigation into allegations that teaching posts were being sold at the Unity Secondary School in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, has been closed due to a lack of evidence. This follows a complaint that was received in November 2024. The department’s spokesperson, Steve Mabona, says an applicant claimed to have been asked to deposit about 17-thousand-rand into the bank account of a certain teacher in exchange for a job at the said school:
