Premier Winde warns levels of violent crime still unacceptably high in Western Cape [SOUND]

# Western Cape premier, Alan Winde is warning that the levels of violence crime remain unacceptably high in the province. The latest police crime statistics for the fourth quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year show that murders in the province decreased by 8-percent, from one-thousand-068 cases between January and March 2025, to 983 cases for the same period this year. Winde says gang violence is a serious concern, accounting for the majority of murders in this region:
