# Gauteng police arrested a 37-year-old suspect in Winterveldt, Pretoria, for theft and tampering with infrastructure, seizing 28 Eskom transformers worth 1.7-million-rand. They also uncovered 27 more illegally connected transformers, causing an estimated 90-million-rand revenue loss. In a separate operation, 13 transformers were seized in Diepsloot and Erasmia. Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says authorities continue cracking down on electricity-related crimes to protect Eskom’s operations:
