Pikitup continues to experience disruptions due to ongoing protest action by casual workers

# Pikitup continues to experience service delivery disruptions at waste collection depots in the City of Johannesburg. This is due to ongoing protest action by casual workers, which is affecting operations at five of Pikitup’s 12 depots. The Avalon depot remains the hardest hit. Pikitup spokesperson, Anthony Selepe, says they continue to engage with all relevant stakeholders to resolve the current impasse, while also implementing operational measures to minimise service disruptions. He adds they are working hard to restore waste collection services.
