# Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Police, has called on police to investigate any alleged criminal conduct involving deputy national police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya and pursue charges where warranted. Committee chairperson, Ian Cameron, warned Sibiya’s departure from the service must not shield him from accountability. He says the committee has always highlighted that rogue elements must be surgically removed from the system to enable it to operate effectively:
