# Gauteng Traffic Police arrested more than 570 suspects during high-density operations and Operation Shanela across Gauteng between Friday and yesterday. The department’s spokesperson Sello Maremane says law enforcement teams including Gauteng Traffic Police, SAPS, Metro Police, and wardens targeted hotspots in Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, and the West Rand. He confirmed that over four-thousand-500 people and one-thousand-800 vehicles were searched:
