Tshwane police arrested 376 suspects in Bronkhorstspruit and Ekangala during a multidisciplinary crime prevention operation yesterday. The suspects were apprehended for various crimes ranging from murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery. Police spokesperson Johan van Dyk says 44 undocumented foreign nationals were detained and handed over to immigration officials for further processing. He adds that 14 spaza shops were also inspected, with eight owners being fined for trading without the required licences.
