# Police say that through Operation Shanela, it continues to achieve breakthroughs in the fight against crime. Between 4 and 10 August, coordinated operations across all nine provinces led to the arrest of 16-thousand-571 suspects, including 138 for murder. A total of 24 firearms were confiscated, and 52 stolen and hijacked vehicles were recovered.
