Over 10,000 faulty streetlights repaired in Cape Town last month alone [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town says streetlight maintenance is a daily priority across the metro. In May alone, more than ten-thousand faulty streetlights were repaired in areas including Kensington, Mitchells Plain and Lavender Hill. The metro manages more than 245-thousand streetlights. Mayoral committee member for Energy, Xanthea Limberg, says this intensified effort aims to enhance safety and visibility for residents during the darker winter months:
